To my darling daughter,
How does a mom like me say goodbye to a daughter like you. I don't. I know I will be with you again some day. I've been told that our time we spend here on earth prepares us for the job God has for us in heaven. So here are a few of the things you and I will be doing there. First, we will be in charge of taking in all the lost and forgotten animals. You will find them, bring them home and love them. My job will be to take them to the vet and feed them. Your love for all animals is one of the things we will all remember about you. The night you left us your herd of deer were standing right outside your window saying, goodbye to you.
You will be taking care of all the kids that follow you around because they need hugs, love, sometimes a temporary place to stay as they work thru some kind of problem. I will be your assistant taking care of all the unfun stuff like furnishing clothing, food and any needed finances.
We were a team here on earth. Part of our team will be missing but you have left me with your Minnie Me, Amanda, who shares our love for people And our need to help anyone who needs a friend. It has taken a village to raise up this remarkable young lady and that village stands ready to continue on the job until we all meet again.
I will do my best to continue our job here on earth. You and daddy be looking for opportunities there. Put in a good word for all of us here.
I love you, Mom

My Dearest Duck "E",
Thank you for choosing me. Thank you for investing your time and energy into me. You were always there. There to reward me for good grades with a guinea pig, but since there were only 2 left at the store, we had to get both because you didn't want them to be lonely. Well, Bert and Ernie surely weren't lonely after they had all of those babies!!! You were the one who provided a Sissy when I asked for one- little did I know she was already in the works! You spent countless hours with a 12 year old that needed a little love and direction, and we all know how fun it is to hang out with 12 year olds!
You were the one who called me to skip school to go to the beach, and I would go back to school with a "sick" note and a bright red sun burn. There were countless times that you said, "Hey kid, let's go," and we got into the car and drove. Sometimes to Dam B to pick 4 leaf clovers, sometimes to have a picnic, sometimes to go crabbing at Pleasure Island, and sometimes just to drive and talk.
You opened your home to a bunch of teenagers to play games every night during the summer. That's one of my favorite summers ever. We had endless fun, and that's what I will miss the most about you, well, that and nobody could ever beat you and me when we were on the same team!
You got me through college with a lot of prodding and support. You even decorated my yard for each holiday when we were neighbors- it was a wonderful surprise to come home to. You've even loved my daughter Malayna like she is your own. You gave me another family that loves me unconditionally just as my own does, and to them I say thank you.
It is because of all of these things that I admire you. I admire your sten will and determination. It is your dedication to Amanda that has helped me to be a better mother. Your endless love and appreciation for Henry has taught me to be a better friend. Your open arms for all of the strays that you adopted over the years have shown me how to open my heart and how to love. You instilled in me the value of spending time with kids and led me to be a teacher. You are an inspiration to me. You have lead by being an example of faith, generosity, love, strength, and creativity. So, I want to say thank you, and I will miss you every day.
I love you always,
Angela Kay "Sissy"
FROM: Amanda
Amanda remembers that when they were on the way home from the hospital this last time, they drove past a dance studio. A little girl was getting out of a car and she shut the door and her mother drove off. Amanda turned to Donna and said, "I'm so glad you weren't a "drop off " ma-ma. Thank you for always being involved in everything I do."

When I think about my big sister ... I will always remember her huge compassionate heart. Donna is eight years older than me, so when we were growing up, she seemed more like a mother figure, but as we grew older, she became such a close friend. I will always admire her ability to make anyone she met feel as though they were the most wonderful person on earth. She had such a loving and accepting soul that could light up the eyes of a child faster than anyone I have ever met. I am going to miss her so much, but I am so thankful that she is no longer in pain.

Letter from Heaven To my dearest family and friends some things I'd like to say But first of all to let you know that I arrived today, I'm writing this from Heaven. Here I shall dwell with God above Here, there's no more tears of sadness. Here is just eternal love. Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight Remember that I am with you every morning, noon and night. That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through God picked me up and hugged me and He said "I welcome you, It's good to have you back again, you were missed while you were gone, As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on. I need you here badly, you are part of my plan There's so much that we have to do to help our mortal man." God gave me a fist of things that he wished for me to do And foremost on the list was to watch and care for you And when you lie in bed at night, the days chores put to flight God and I are closest to you . . in the middle of the night. When you think of my life on earth and all those loving years Because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears But do not be afraid to cry, it does relieve the pain Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain. 1 wish that I could tell you all that God has planned If I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand But one thing is for certain though my life on earth is o'er I'm closer to you now than I ever was before. There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb But together we can do it by taking one day at a time. When you're walking down the street and you've got me on your mind I'm walking in your footsteps, only half a step behind And when it's time for you to go . . from that body to be free Remember you're not going . . you're just coming here to me.
